Our first tour of the USA in 1980 and we stayed at the George Washington Hotel. The picture above was taken in one of the rooms and the guy with the pillow case on his head was Jim the roadie. An absolute nutcase who enjoyed every minute of being on tour. I often would need him during a gig and amidst the chaos I would see him perched somewhere in the distance dangerously drunk. It was a free holiday for him, and he made the most of every opportunity. Quite what made him cut two holes in a pillow case, write KKK on the front  and stick it on his head I'll never know. Martin stands sheepishly next to him holding a bag of weed wearing a styrofoam ring on his nut.
